Canberk Ulaş
Solo Performance EPK
Anatolian Ambient
40 - 60 minutes
Duduk – Electronics – Samples – Piano
This solo performance is a transcendent blend of
ancient – traditional sounds,
experimental pursuits,
electronic enchantments.
Canberk Ulaş weaves a tapestry of sound, creating soundscapes that blend Turkish, Anatolian, Armenian, and Ottoman musical heritages with a contemporary perspective, echoing the diverse essence of Istanbul. In addition to his advanced traditional technique that received from Armenia, he pushes the boundaries of the duduk through extended techniques and electronics. While his unique artistic approach emphasizes the elegance of space and slows down the flow of time, he carries duduk’s ancient melodies from the depths of history with new sounds to the present with a meditative flow.
As he navigates the intricate balance between tradition and experimentation, we invite you to join Canberk Ulaş on a contemplative journey of introspection and connection.
